Yeah no, this doesn't really work for me. And basically my criticism for Covenant is my opposite criticism for Prometheus... There are too many questions answered, the lack of mystery takes a beautiful film with such memorable shots, sets, archs, and makes it quite frankly boring.

Scott has stuffed all of the previous Alien movies into one; like The Force Awakensonly done crappier. The giants are once again set to the side of the story and the Aliens the central plot and once again I am annoyed that once again the film opens talking about our creators and once again we never discuss them when they are on the freaking screen...

But I cannot hate a film that is as beautiful as this, there are shots in my head that will forever stay there and most of them are from the landing scene within the beauty of the Milford Sounds. The cinematography takes this iconic setting and turns it on its head. The colour, the depth, the lure of those mountains and water... Wow.

If this was a Walter movie and not a David movie, I would have liked it more.
